It repairs bullseye, star, half moon and stone chips up to 1 1/4 inch in diameter in laminated automotive glass. It is a chip repair, not a crack repair, so a running crack, a chip larger than 1 1/4 inch, or damage that has gone through both layers of the laminate is outside its range. It does not work on plexiglass or single pane glass.

One. The resin, the single use pedestal and the adhesive disc are all sized for a single repair, so you need a kit per chip. Work on one chip at a time and start with the most structurally significant one if you are choosing between several. Repair chips promptly, because temperature swings and car washes turn a chip into a crack.

We do not recommend it. Even a good repair leaves some optical distortion, and damage in the driver's primary viewing area is normally treated as a windshield replacement rather than a repair, including by inspection rules in many states. A crack in that area is a replacement, not a repair. Use the kit on chips outside the driver's direct field of view.

Roughly 45 minutes to an hour. Once the pedestal is fitted you pull vacuum for 10 minutes, switch the plunger to pressure and leave it at least 20 minutes, then squeeze in the remaining resin, cover it with a curing strip and give it 15 minutes in direct sunlight. On a cloudy day allow up to an hour of daylight for the final cure.

Keep it above freezing for the application and for the whole cure and you should have no problems. Below freezing the resin thickens and will not flow into the chip. The glass and the chip also need to be completely dry before you start, and the final step needs direct sunlight to cure the resin, so plan the job for a dry day.

An alcohol wipe, an adhesive disc, the pressure lock pedestal, a syringe with a locking plunger, a tube of single component resin, a curing strip and a safety razor blade. The resin is a sun activated acrylic, and the pedestal and syringe system is what evacuates air from the chip before forcing resin into the void.
