Product Details

ClearWeld™ is a quick setting two-part epoxy adhesive that provides a strong and lasting bond on most surfaces including Wood, Glass, Plastics, Metals and more. ClearWeld cures to a clear transparent bond when applied at a thickness of less than 15 mil. ClearWeld has a 1:1 mixing ratio, sets in 5 minutes and cures in about 1 hour. With a tensile strength of 3900 PSI, it cures to a hard, permanent bond.

How to Use

Prepare

Clean surface area of dirt, grease, oil, paint or loose debris. For best results use a detergent or degreaser to first clean the surface, then roughen surface with file or coarse sandpaper to provide the best repair.

Mix

After removing the replaceable cap, press down on plunger and squeeze equal amounts onto a disposable surface and mix thoroughly.

Apply

Apply with appropriate tool in an even coat, weld bead or extruded shape as needed.

Dry

Sets in 5 minutes. Cures in 1 hour. If temperature is below 40ºF, then set time is longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I keep ClearWeld from sticking to areas I don't want it to bond to?

Apply a release agent to those areas before you start. Candle wax or Gulf Wax works well, as does a very thin coat of petroleum jelly. ClearWeld won't adhere where the release agent is applied.

How should I store my syringe between uses?

Store the syringe nose-up rather than lying on its side. Keeping it upright helps prevent the tips from becoming contaminated, so the product stays ready for your next repair.

Can I add color or tint to ClearWeld?

Yes, with powder tints only. A very small amount of powder tint can be mixed into ClearWeld to add color. Do not use liquid tints.
